Qingle

Today, we Play Lexicographer for the Daily Prompt! My new word is:

Qingle

[cheen-gul]

N. a wave of good feeling across the spirit; inner good feeling

Mr. Roderick’s speech gave me qingles today!

Etymology

This word is a blend of two words: “tingle” and “qi” (which is another form of the word “chi”). I think we need a succinct word to describe the quick shivers of good feeling that overcome our spirits sometimes. I and I also think that we need more Q-words to play Scrabble with.
